            I've always said that my idea of success is a lifestyle that does not require shoes. What does that have to do with art? Not only do I paint barefoot, my life and my painting are one; casual and relaxed, yet fun and full of energy. I look for harmony in life and in my paintings.

           My early influences in painting were the Impressionists and to quote Claude Monet "Colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment". Although my style is not always Impressionist, my work reflects that obsession with color. I love experimenting with the interaction of contrasting colors and values whether blending them on the canvas or glazing color over color.

           I take my inspiration from nature and I try not only to capture the color and the light, but I also emphasize the flow and movement in life and share my experience with the viewer.
